Hair and Make-up

A professional stylist will apply your make-up and style your hair. Having a professional stylist will make you look perfect and give your make-up the ability to last through a portrait session and beyond. You will look so good you should have a night on the town planned for after your portrait session.

Men, we are just as focused on you. While we don't normally recommend make-up for men, we do focus just as much attention on your appearance. You should shave and apply a moisturizer to your skin, as close to the time of the session as is practical. You will also receive our special attention with wardrobe, posing and in the retouching process.

Wardrobe

Your wardrobe will be preselected. We will email you a detailed Wardrobe Guide. This guide will aid you in preselecting your wardrobe choices prior to our Pre-Photo Session Consultation. At that meeting, we will review and refine your wardrobe choices.

Retouching

We will masterfully retouch each image you choose to have printed. If you have a blemish or anything else that concerns you, chances are we can remove it or greatly diminish its appearance. So don’t let little imperfections keep you from wearing exactly what you want. The changes we make will be so natural only you will know.

Choosing Locations

Indoor locations at your home guarantee the artwork will match your décor. Interior portraits tend to be less dramatic and more formal in appearance. We don't have to consider the weather as a factor.

Outdoor, natural locations are usually more colorful & dramatic than indoor locations. Outdoor portraits tend to be more casual in appearance. We're able to capture your image in the noon day sun showcasing our deep blue sky and green landscape. Don't worry, we'll keep you cool and squint free. We will provide you with a specific session plan, once the location has been determined.

Children

Kids will be kids and we let them be just that. Young children have their own interests and that usually doesn’t involve sitting still and smiling on command. We work within the child’s interests of the day, waiting to catch those elusive moments that make great images. Parents are welcome to attend a child’s session, but we will give you specific instructions on how to help us achieve our shared goal.

Arranging for us to meet and play with the child before the Photo Session is extremely helpful. This is most easily accomplished the day of the Pre-Photo Session Consultation. Establishing a rapport prior to the Photo Session is invaluable and will show in the artwork.

The length of the session depends on the child. Simply, it will take as long as it takes and we’re prepared for that as long as you are.
